One big reason to suit up if you’re working from home?

I have been working for myself, or if I am honest, I never had a job for which you have to be all dressed up and shiny. So I never had a real reason to wear clothes or shirts. But I do. Do you want to know why? Because of brains and the way they work.

This one is pretty simple. That's why it's so easy to forget about it. We like to be comfortable and have plenty of space below the belt. Especially men. Working remotely from home you can wear loose shirts; we don’t need to lose words about pants. Why even wear them? Why complicate things with wearing uncomfortable clothes?

It’s because of THE brain. It's one complicated thing. It's not made to be a multitasker. And by multitasking, I don’t mean tasks only. It's connected to many things: our workspace, music, etc. and at the end also to clothes. Different clothes are a necessity for productive mood. You’re sending mixed signals if you’re wearing the same clothes for relaxing and working hard. Your brain is not sure what mode to turn on.

Tested by myself. I'm more productive after I suit up for work. Even now while we’re traveling, I have one working shirt with me. And it helps! Some of you will say everything is in the head. And I will agree. It is.

P.S. I am not saying you have to be in uncomfortable clothes. Wear cozy things but divide them into working and chilling ones.
